Is the shoot indoors or outside?
Both! From studio lighting with a wide variety of backdrops to natural light outside, we can do it all! We like to get a wide range of looks and backgrounds in every session! Where we shoot will depend on YOU and the roles YOU are looking to BOOK!

Roles I'm looking to book? I don't know!
Don't worry! We have a Q&A that you will fill out that will help! Plus we have years of experience both in front and behind the camera and find it exciting to help curate all the roles you could be playing.

How many looks will I have during a session?

More looks than you expect! We do not limit the number of looks created in a session. 

What should I wear?
What color do you think looks the best on you? What color does your best friend think?  your mom?  ask around. Nice solid colors work the best. Patterns tend to distract and we want this picture to be about YOU!!  

Also, think about your look - do you get cast as the mom, college student, corporate mogul, hipster, bookstore owner, or villain? Be specific and plan your outfits to match those characters. The more you bring, the better. Pack a suitcase. I'm not joking.

I still don't know what to wear & what's that about a stylist and makeup artist?
Oh yes! And I highly recommend adding this to your session! This is how to take a session to the next level and eliminate ALL STRESS from your experience. After a phone call to go over the wardrobe that you have, additional looks will be purchased. Be warned, most of our performers have ended up buying a few of the pieces that were purchased for the session! Professional makeup artists are there not only to make you look fabulous they will also save a shoot by catching those stray hairs or adding powder and changing looks throughout the shoot.  Price range of $150-$350, paid directly to the stylist.

Can I bring a friend?
Sure! Just make sure they are someone you will laugh and have fun with.  Headshot sessions should be enjoyable and sometimes having a good friend to joke with sets a great mood. Check out the Co-Stars package linked below if you want to share a session for a discounted rate.

How does a session work?
I’ll be ready for your arrival 15 minutes before the scheduled time so feel free to come early. Once you get here we will take a look at your clothes and pull out the best outfits. Then it is time for makeup if you added the stylist option (100% recommend).  Playtime is next where we get to create those images that will book you the roles you want!

I don’t know how to pose!!!
You don't have to! I know how to pose you! As the shoot starts you will forget that you have to pose because you don't. You just need to be in the moment. I've got you covered, I was a full time hand model and commercial print model in NYC for 15 years and together we will rock those poses!  The most common thing that we hear during headshot sessions is "I've always hated having my headshot taken but this is fun!!!"


How do I see my photos afterward?
We will schedule a ZOOM viewing within the week after your shoot. This is your opportunity to yah or nay the initial selects.  After we have created a favorites gallery of the best 25-50, I will do minor edits (contrast/saturation/color balance) if needed and upload those selects into a private/password-protected image collection on my website. You can share with your industry friends and agents.  Get their opinions on what they think will be the most marketable for them.  I’ve found agents and casting directors can have different opinions and sometimes it is a great idea to have a few different looks on hand.  

Once we have the favorites selected, I will hand retouch them and add a downloadable gallery to your image collection. You can download your selected images right to your computer and email them to your agent or printing company. I highly recommend Reproductions.  If you would like to have more images than your package includes, you can order as many as you like for $75 per high-res/retouched image.

What if I have to cancel?
A deposit of $100 is required to confirm your session. The deposit is non-refundable, however, if an audition or a job comes up, we will just reschedule your session to the next available day. We want you to work! That is the goal of taking your headshot in the first place!!  (let's put that into the Universe for you) WHEN a job comes up!, we will just reschedule your session to the next available day.
